AI Creativity Labs

Learn, create, and present with emerging AI technologies

AI Creativity Labs are hands-on learning experiences that guide participants through a complete creative and learning arc with emerging AI technologies.

Each Lab is designed around three core phases: learning, creative exploration, and presentation. Participants are introduced to selected AI tools and concepts, engage creatively through guided artistic activities, and then prepare and present their work in a facilitated showcase environment.

The Labs are offered in both student-focused and adult learning contexts, including schools, community spaces, nonprofits, cultural institutions, libraries, and workplace settings. Rather than emphasizing technical mastery or production output, the Labs focus on understanding how AI tools shape creative processes, decision-making, and expression.

By culminating in a presentation or showcase, AI Creativity Labs help participants build not only AI literacy and creative confidence, but also communication, reflection, and presentation skills. No prior technical experience is required. The goal is thoughtful engagement, shared learning, and confidence in navigating emerging technologies.

  • AI Creativity Labs are designed for both students and adults across a range of learning environments.

    Labs may be offered for:

    • Students in K–12, higher education, or informal learning programs

    • Educators and teaching artists

    • Adults and professional teams within nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and mission-driven workplaces

    • Community members participating through libraries, cultural institutions, or public programs

Labs are adapted to the audience, context, and learning goals of each setting.

  • Each AI Creativity Lab follows a shared structure:

    Learn
Participants are introduced to selected AI tools and concepts through accessible, guided instruction. This includes discussion of capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.

    Create
Participants engage in creative, hands-on activities using AI tools. Activities may involve visual art, writing, storytelling, media creation, or other artistic forms, depending on the Lab focus.

    Present
Each Lab concludes with a structured opportunity to share work. Participants prepare and present their creations, reflect on their process, and discuss how AI influenced their decisions and outcomes.

This structure supports learning through doing, reflection, and communication.

  • Student Creativity Labs are designed to introduce young people to AI concepts through creative exploration and guided presentation.
